Module 1 Unit I Secure Attachment

Creating a steady attachment for your child and attachment parenting are two specific things.

Attachment parenting has a tendency to observe concepts that say regardless of the infant wants, the baby receives and normally consists of babywearing, co-slumbering indefinitely, demand feeding and toddler-led everything.

This works for some people but not for others and could be especially challenging to follow these principles with multiple small children in the circle of relatives at the same time.

- It is a personal choice and some argue that it gives a child whole security even as others argue that a toddler wishes to gently find out about boundaries and self-regulation.

Secure attachment is a natural, healthy bond between parent and infant that permits the infant to feel safe, loved and replied to.

Responding is the important thing here. The most important part of developing a secure attachment is your infant feeling like his needs and wants might be met.

Sometimes the response you offer may not be the reaction your infant was hoping for, however, that is okay.

As your baby grows he's going to examine that we don’t always get the response we desire but we do get what we want from our parents. A response that has your baby’s excellent hobbies at heart.
